Ojok Ambrose (student)

From Otuke District (Lango sub-region), Northern Uganda

I was born in 1998 as a result of civil war in northern Uganda. My mother was captured by the rebels and forced to be one of the wives of the captain. She escaped and returned home with me. She remarried and I now live with my step father and step siblings.

I am happy about who I am. It was not my mother’s fault she gave birth to me this way. My life is the one that I choose to live.
